OCEAN KAYAKING

The days passed quickly in the infinity pool during our most recent trip to Puerto Vallarta, and suddenly it didn't make sense to follow through on our plans to venture into town or sign up for an off property excursion. One of us was getting restless sitting by the pool, though, so we compromised and signed up for the complimentary kayaking tour offered by our resort.

This was our first time kayaking EVER, and (full disclosure) the thought of kayaking for the first time in the ocean was intimidating. There were waves and currents and things that could eat us!

It turned out the coastline in front of the resort was a fine place to kayak for the first time. We survived the hour, and the one of us who needed to be entertained loved the time spent on the ocean.

Lessons of the day? 1) Don't be afraid to try something new on vacation. 2) Take advantage of the complimentary activities offered by your resort.
