OIA VILLAGE

Our final stop on our mini cruise of the Greek Isles was the island of Santorini, a volcanic crater immersed in the sea, famous for its panoramic views, blue domed churches, and whitewashed houses, which cling to the steep cliffs. Since we had a short time in port, we booked a shore excursion to the north end of the island to visit the beautiful village of Oia.

Destination: Oia | Santorini |Greece| Europe

Traveled: April 2015

Accommodation: Celestyal Olympia

Takeaways: 1) You need more than an hour in this village. 2) Santorini has the best sunsets.

^^ those whitewashed buildings on the cliff *almost* look like snow. ^^

^^ the view of the caldera. ^^

^^ we never turn down a takeaway gyro. ^^

Recommendations: Spend a few days in Santorini, if possible.

Next Time: Spend more time in Oia. Visit Fira. Cruise to Santorini's islands and volcanoes. Enjoy a few more sunsets.
