SNORKELING IN PRICKLY PEAR CAYS

We've been going through old travel photos to share with our followers on Instagram and found a few photos from the time we went snorkeling in Prickly Pear Cays. These uninhabited islands of Anguilla are the quintessential paradise with white sandy beaches, turquoise waters, and coral reefs.

We signed up for a day trip to the cays while we were visiting friends in Sint Maarten. This was our first time visiting Anguilla and our first time snorkeling outside of a pool. One of us loved exploring and discovering this underwater realm. The other one of us (ahem, him) didn't fare so well with the salty ocean water. If you have any tricks for avoiding eye irritation while snorkeling, please leave them in the comments below!

Here are a few photos from our underwater adventure if you'd like to check them out. At the time, we were paranoid about using our waterproof camera under water, so we used a crummy disposable camera to document these moments. Can you spot the blue fish?
