HONEYMOONING IN PUNTA CANA

Strategy: This was our honeymoon. The strategy was to relax and stay poolside at our resort as much as possible.

Accommodation: Excellence Punta Cana

Adventures: Horseback Riding, Parque Ecologico, "Walmart" Gift Shop

Memorable Moment: Feeding turtles at the Parque Ecologico.

Takeaways:  1) Those college Spanish classes did not stick. 2) It's possible for turtles to be friendly.

Foodstuff: Presidente is the local beer.  Mama Juana is the native drink.

Recommendations: 1) Bring $10 cash to pay for your tourist card upon arrival at the airport. 2) Be prepared for a 60 minute taxi ride to the resort strip. 3) Know some basic phrases in Spanish. 4) Pack sunscreen, bug spray, and all the usual beachy stuff.
